Dr. Rick Smith has owned Equine Clinic for 18 years. A native of Southwest Missouri, he loves being a veterinarian in the country he grew up in. He has a ranch in Christian county where he enjoys raising children, cattle, and horses.
His hobbies include hunting, fishing, hiking, trail riding, and team roping. His German Shorthairs “Dutch “and “Jaeger” are regular companions on hunting trips. (From left to right Rick, Dutch, Jaeger, Wade, and Rylee)
Dr. Kodii Moriuchi grew up in a rural area north of Branson, Missouri. She began riding horses at the age of 5 when she got her first pony and has continued to ride horses ever since. Kodii worked her way through college as an equestrian performer at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede in Branson, Missouri.
She performed nightly in the dinner show executing drill on horseback, driving wagons and trick riding. She attended college at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri and received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biology, Spanish, and Environmental Health and Protection.
During her final two years of college, she also interned with the City of Branson Health Department where she worked in animal control and conducted the city’s West Nile Virus Surveillance Program. She attended veterinary school at the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2012.
